The Last Great Australian V8 Ute

The HSV GTSR Maloo W1 is the final chapter in the story of the Australian performance ute, a genre that existed nowhere else in the world. Only 80 W1-specification Maloos were produced before the Elizabeth plant closed its doors in October 2017, making each one a piece of genuine Australian automotive history.
This example, carrying build number 47, was delivered new to its first owner in Sting Red, an HSV exclusive, and has covered just 6,800 km in seven years. It has never been used for towing or working duties and presents in immaculate condition throughout.
The LS9 supercharged 6.2-litre V8 was shared with the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and produces 474 kW through a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual gearbox. The W1 package adds carbon fibre body components, Brembo six-piston front brakes, revised suspension tuning, and a Borla exhaust system.
Offered here on a transparent reserve auction by Legend Motors on behalf of the registered owner, with full documentation and provenance records.
Rego and roadworthy requirements vary by state and territory. Confirm your local requirements before purchase. Interstate transfer is the buyer's responsibility.

Questions are public and visible to all bidders.
If this doesn't sell for well over $400k I'll be genuinely surprised. The market for late-model HSV collector pieces has been very strong.
Can the build certificate be verified independently? I know there have been instances of falsified build numbers on late HSV models.
A completely fair question. The build certificate has been cross-referenced with the HSV Build Registry and we are in possession of the correspondence confirming #47 of 80. The VIN also confirms the W1 specification code. We're happy to share all documentation with serious bidders.
The W1 Maloo in Sting Red is the only colour I'd want. What's the story of the paint correction, was that the whole car or spot treatment?
The paint correction was a full single-stage machine polish carried out by Detail Sydney in 2022. Not a repair for any specific damage, the previous owner wanted a show-quality finish before placing the car in storage. Documentation from Detail Sydney is in the history file.
80 W1 Maloos total. This is build 47. These are not coming back, ever. The LS9 is a genuinely extraordinary engine and the Tremec in the Maloo is sublime. Whoever buys this needs to understand what they're getting.
