About This Car

When Yutaka Katayama convinced Nissan's board to build the S30, he created a sports car that redefined what Japanese engineering was capable of. The 240Z was faster, lighter, and better balanced than most European sports cars of its era, at a fraction of the price. Today, clean examples are increasingly rare as the market recognises what these cars represent.

This 1973 example underwent a comprehensive ground-up restoration between 2019 and 2021 in Ballarat, with the work documented photographically throughout. The L24 inline-six was rebuilt to factory specification, the body stripped and repainted in Sunshine Yellow, and all rust treated at the sill and floor level, the critical areas that determine a Z's structural integrity.
